About Bolash Roofing & Construction
Mike Bolash, founder of BR&C, started his business in 1972. He started his business working out of the trunk of his car with tools that his father let him use. The business grew very quickly. Countless home repairs, kitchen and bath remodels, room additions, garages, and at least 18 homes. In 1988, Mike had a need for a low-slope roofing system that he would have confidence in that would eliminate callbacks from his customers.
He came across Conklin Roofing Systems at a home show. He did some research and chose to use Conklin roofing products. He attended all of the roof training and seminars that he could find. He learned the commercial roofing business by starting with small jobs and eventually marketing and completing larger commercial and industrial roofing projects. His business evolved into a commercial roofing business. He has qualified for the Conklin Preferred Contractor group since 1997 and has worked on commercial and industrial roofs all over Illinois and the surrounding states. He has been installing PVC & TPO membranes for over 20 years.

Helping Mike Bolash, Matthew Hopkins has worked with Mike at Bolash Roofing & Construction since the summer of 1999. Over the years, he gained invaluable experience in the roofing industry, mastering the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver top-tier craftsmanship. In 2022, he took a step forward by purchasing the business he helped to grow, ensuring its legacy and commitment to excellence continued. By buying Bolash Roofing & Construction, Matthew maintains its family-owned roots, outstanding customer service, professional manner, excellent products, and high-quality workmanship. With a strong dedication to customer satisfaction and a passion for quality roofing, he remains focused on providing reliable and durable roofing solutions to homeowners and businesses alike.
Our Success
Bolash Roofing & Construction has grown, mostly due to word of mouth or satisfied customers. Bolash Roofing & Construction mostly applies liquid-applied elastomeric coatings for low slope roofs, commonly referred to as flat roofs, and aged rusty leaking metal roofs. We also install Conklin’s Flexion single-ply roofing system and have recently got into the standing seam metal roofing market. Bolash Roofing & Construction is licensed, bonded and insured as required. We employ 2-4 employees and have other contractor friends who help if needed on larger tear-off projects. We follow OSHA safety regulations and have required safety meetings.
